FaW Tokyo (Fashion World Tokyo)

is Japan’s largest B2B fashion exhibition,

featuring over 700 brands and 30,000 buyers from around the world every year.

It serves as a business-driven fashion hub

where brands from Korea, Japan, Europe, and Southeast Asia gather to share market trends

and build meaningful connections across the global fashion industry.

In October 2024, Owl Society / SHAKALAKA participated in FaW Tokyo

as a Korean indie fashion wholesale platform

introducing carefully selected Korean designer brands to the Japanese market.

Our message was clear:

“Not a low-cost wholesale site, but a premium network of verified indie fashion labels.”

For their first participation in an international trade fair,

Owl Society / SHAKALAKA showcased around 30 Korean indie brands

and exhibited over 100 curated fashion samples.

Each brand represented the unique aesthetic and quality of K-fashion,

and more than 90% of the displayed samples were sold on-site

proving the strong demand from Japanese buyers.

“It was more than a showcase — a truly business-driven exhibition that led to tangible results.”

Over the three-day exhibition,

SHAKALAKA held more than 100 meetings with overseas resellers and buyers.

Many of these have already led to brand entry requests, additional sample purchases, and collaboration proposals.

The booth’s strong reception resulted in most samples being sold,

and several Japanese retailers have expressed interest in long-term partnerships.

Building on the success of this year,

SHAKALAKA plans to participate in the 2026 FaW Tokyo Spring Edition

with an expanded lineup and renewed booth concept.
